Goals from Mohd Syazwan Roslan and Mohd Syazwan Ashraf Matthews ensured Perak maintained its position at 4th place in the Astro Malaysian Super League.
Perak beat T-Team Terengganu, 2-0 at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh last night.
Perak’s team was without its skipper, Shalrulnizam Mustapha while T Team had to do without their seasoned attackers, Indra Putra Mahayuddin and Mohd. Haris Safwan Mohd Kamal as well as former National Goalkeeper, Syamsuri Mustafa.
Norizan Bakar known as Cikgu Jan, and Yunus Alif, fielded their best possible 11 for the game and the crowd was treated with a great game.
Perak drew first blood, when defender, Noor Hazrul Mustafa, nearly netted the opening goal but his free kick went wide off the post.
In the 5th minute, Perak’s top scorer, Akmal Rizal Mohd Rakhli’s brilliant control fended off two defenders but he only managed to scuff his shot wide.
T Team nearly took the lead when Norfarhan Mohammad managed to wiggle his way past the Perak Defense, only to see his shot going wide.
Before the first half ended, right back, Mohd Syazwan Roslan scored when his header beat T Team keeper, Mohd Zairi Hafiezi.
Come 2nd Half, the game was more balanced and both teams had equal chances to score goals.
Rosdi Talib and Mohd Rosli Muda could have grabbed the equaliser for T Team but Nasril Nourdin was there to stop them.
In the 87th minute, Perak scored through 19 years old Mohd. Shazuan Ashraf Matthews.
A great run by Akmal Rizal ensured that Shazuan had the easiest of jobs by tapping the ball into the net.
The win certainly cemented Perak’s place at 4th spot and it now all set to achieve its targeted Top 5 position.
