ONE'S GONE IN: Fazrul (right) scores past Kelantan goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat

PETALING JAYA: Four goals, three valuable points, two stars and one winner. Yet, Super League outfit Perak are hungry for more.

The Silver State lads were the toast of the town after whacking four goals past Kelantan at the Perak Stadium yesterday.

However, Perak coach Norizan Bakar issued an early warning to not take their current position lightly.

"This is not the final. We have many matches to go and there were weaknesses in our game," said Norizan.

"I congratulate the players for doing a good job on the field."

Perak's Fazrul Hazli drew first blood in the fifth minute while Safiq Jamal scored the second goal in the 26th.

However, it was goals from Akmal Rizal Rakhli (79th) and controversial hitman Razali Umar Kandasamy (82nd) that sent the Kejor Yob Kejor fans into ecstasy.

When asked of Razali's feat, Norizan said: "It was a team effort and the team made the goal possible."

Akmal, meanwhile, admitted his attachment with his former team Kelantan continues to linger.

"I was with Kelantan when we won the Malaysia Cup last year so the excitement is still there.

"But I'm with Perak now and I'm committed to their cause. The win means a lot to us."

Akmal was pleasantly surprised when his attempt at goal rolled past Kelantan's goalkeeper Khairul Fahmi Che Mat.

"I didn't even think it would go in. It was a wild shot but I guess the mistake by Khairul turned it into a goal.

"This will further motivate me to win the Golden Boot this year," he added.

Perak are now placed second in the league while Kelantan slipped to fourth spot.

Selangor, meanwhile, bounced back to the top of the standings after edging Felda United 1-0 while Negri Sembilan suffered another defeat, losing 2-0 to Kedah in Paroi.
