Perak now set their sights on league title after FA Cup KO

BY RONNIE OH

GEORGE TOWN: Perak are not going to let their exit from the FA Cup bogged down their charge for the Super League crown.

In fact, Perak coach Norizan Bakar believes their quarter-final exit from the Cup at the hands of Terengganu is a blessing in disguise as they can now concentrate on the League.

“I cannot deny that we are disappointed that our FA Cup campaign is over. But I have told the players to get back into stride for the league campaign. I am sure they are eager to get back on the winning track when the league resumes tomorrow (today),” said Norizan.

Perak take on on-song Felda United today and they are not taking things for granted against their much improved opponents who are surprisingly second in the standings.

“It is clear that Felda have a good line-up as their track record thus far shows it.

“So they cannot be taken lightly. But if we play to our strength and stay focussed we should be heading for a win.”

Perak are fourth in the standings with 13 points from seven matches.

Leaders Kelantan, second-place Felda and third-place Selangor all have 14 points.
