ENOUGH is enough. Perak Football Association (PFA) has finally terminated the contract of its controversial striker, Razali Umar Kandasamy, effective today.
The decision was made at the association's management committee meeting on Friday after Razali had gone missing from training for the third time.
"He was given a warning earlier and a final one on March 26 when he did not attend training."
He missed training for 17 days from March 9. Initially he skipped three weeks of training after Perak returned from a stint in Bangkok on Dec 26.
Razali failed to report to coach Norizan Bakar after he last played in the game against Pahang on May 6.
PFA president, Datuk Zainol Fadzi Paharudin said: "The association feels the services of the player are not needed as the team won three consecutive matches without him."
Perak beat Felda United 1-0, Perlis 2-1 and T-Team 2-0.
"I am confident that we can achieve good results in the remaining three matches, against Johor FC (June 6), Kelantan (June 14) and Selangor on July 6.
"Although he was excluded, it did not affect the team's performance as Norizan has drawn up a strategy for youngsters to fill his position.
"Razali is aware of the action to be taken as he went missing without reason," said Zainol. The doors are closed and there is no room for discussion anymore.
We have already given him several chances to change his attitude but he failed to respond positively."
Perak have to keep their momentum going in the next three matches if they are to remain among the top five in the league.
They are in fourth place with 35 points, while Kedah, with the same number of points, occupy fifth spot but on inferior goal difference.
